New Rides, New Deals - May 2025
May 2025
Here’s our monthly download of the latest Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) to hit the Aussie roads - plus price shifts worth fussing about.
April brought the noise - but May? It’s a little quieter on the EV front. With the FBT exemption on PHEVs now behind us (as of April 1), we’re starting to see the market steady a bit before the next big push.
That said, there are still a few juicy updates worth your attention. Deepal’s bold new crossover-ute is landing in Australia, and we’re bloody excited to check it out - finally, a ute that breaks the cookie-cutter mould. MG has also launched a more affordable RWD-only version of their slick Cyberster sports convertible. And at the luxe end of town, BMW’s iX has copped a tidy refresh, keeping the Euro badge well and truly in the EV fight.
Scroll down for a quick snapshot of what's new - and what's changing.
